Being cool really means that other people like you because you present a genuine form of yourself and they don’t like you just because you desperately want others to think you’re cool, so you present what you think they want to see.

I think genuine is the best characteristic anybody can have..

I am lucky to have stumbled upon someone who places as much value on one of the same characteristics as I do. To me, genuine means you have found an understanding of who you are, and you consistently portray that understanding to everyone you meet. It doesn’t mean that you have to have every aspect of your self mapped out, but that you have a strong hold on your values and your actions and words display them on a daily basis.

I think you know someone is genuine when you rarely or never question their hidden intents behind their actions, when the way they are feels natural, and when the way they make others feel allows others to be more like their genuine self. 

Tristan, I think you are genuine because your actions and words are the ones that match you, and never feel like a construction of someone else you want to be. I think you are genuine because the times when you are lost for words, are because you are trying to express the way you truly are, not someone you think I want to hear about. I think you are genuine because I have always felt like I can be my genuine self around you.
