Watched the wild robot twice in theaters I’m going insane I love this movie so much I NEED TO REWATCH IT AGAIN GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

The focus is obviously on Roz and Brightbill’s relationship and the mother son bond that they have but I was also incredibly touched by Fink’s relationship with Brightbill as well

Fink is a fox, a predator who was intent on eating Brightbill’s egg before the little guy even had the chance to hatch. Even for the first handful of minutes introducing himself he still kinda wants to eat the little guy until Roz supplies him with alternate food sources

But Fink goes from that to violently defending Brightbill from the other geese, whimpering when Brightbill is in danger in the pond, offering words of encouragement, gleefully reuniting with him when he comes home and for goodness sakes protesting when the other animals mess with his “baby pictures”

I love that little fox so much and the fact that he was always there when Roz was training him or when Brightbill was leaving/returning was an incredibly sweet detail

This shot of Roz is probably my favorite bit of character animation in the whole movie and it goes by so quickly.

This is a character that is fairly limited in her expressions without the voice acting, and yet you can quite literally SEE the pride and love swelling up in her in this one shot. 😭 The way she raises her head, her lights glowing, that slight squint of the eyes. Seriously cred to the animators.

THAT'S HER BABY UP THERE. 💖
