I hate everything about this
my mother is making spaghetti for dinner and it's taking a great deal of willpower to not abandon my stand and drive over to her house
I just cut my hair and now I'm about to make some dinner and find a rad movie to watch 👌

the new ad director starts today so they’re having a ‘meet and greet’ thing upstairs with all the sales reps and ad designers, but I was given the task of staying behind to ‘hold down the fort’ (really I just didn’t want to deal with Alla That so coworker friend let me stay lol)
ANYway, about 5 minutes into the meeting time, the interim ad director (who I’ve been secretly referring to as ‘classic rock’ in my head bc his name is dwayne and he’s like 70) walked past my desk and said ‘finn are you guys coming up? where’s [coworker friend]?’ so I explained my continued presence and that the rest of them were already up there, and he went off all hurried like ‘alright great thanks bye’
and I just sat there like. he called me finn. [silent screaming]
coworker friend told the two guys in our department before I got in this morning and apparently they are ‘very cool with it‘. she only told smitty that it was a name change and nothing else bc he’s older and might not really get it lol
and thEN she told the awesome lady from up front (I think she’s like the honorary executive assistant for pretty much everyone??) and according to cf... "she said she is so happy for you. to let your light shine. that there are so many here who think highly of you and love you for you. that it is your time to shine :) and you know I stand by everything she said.”
