i really don’t like looking at my cat and being hit with the reality of “oh. you’re getting old.”

maybe he’s being a brat because i had to have a sleepover with my parents dogs the last two nights but he just Seems Old.

i know he’s not really THAT old yet (he’s nine) but his health issues have aged him and it just… makes me sad that he won’t be around forever. to be fair the vets didn’t think he’d live this long with his issues either, so yay us? but he’s my soul cat. my baby. why do they have such short lives in comparison to us, it sucks so much ahhhh.
