The crowds were intimidating. Not that District One wasn’t crowded--people were fine with having kids if they knew they didn’t have to worry about one being randomly being taken from them. But that didn’t compare to the crowds he saw outside the tower. Even as it approached night, they all stood around, hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the tributes, which was made impossible through the heavily tinted glass. Finn supposed that was a way to cause excitement for the parade. Catching someone from the corner of his eye, he felt inclined to say something. Even though interacting with anyone here unnerved him, silence unnerved him more. “It’s crazy how many people are out there, right?” he asks, putting on his best smile as he turned to the other, “Makes you wonder if they are going to even sleep, or if they are just gonna stay out there all night?” Not his best small talk, but the tension was high, who could blame him? // @thqstarter
