Sniff. That smell. Oh, there's something about it that she doesn't like.

" i'm not really surprised that you murdered him. " with the wires and the claws and the el-esque hospital gown, lucas knew what to expect from nerio the second he laid eyes on him. he must be another experiment, just like el and vecna — now he has to figure out which end of the spectrum he lands on. he can only hope it's the former; otherwise, he's unarmed and totally screwed. lucas peers down at the eviscerated body between the two of them, immediately wishing he hadn't when his lunch lurches up his throat. he chokes the nausea back down, stepping as far away as he can while still having a visual of the man. for a fifteen-year-old, he's seen his fair share of bodies, but that is disgusting. " is he — was he one of the people keeping you locked up? did you escape? "

Frenchie has seen some strange shit in his lifetime , especially by being the go to guy to make weapons to kill supes..but this one was something else. He tilts his head a little , trying to wrap his head around what was happening. He always had a fascination with those that could kill him but...were not beyond help. His tender heart was a problem sometimes..and even now he couldn’t bring himself to bring out his weapon and point it at the other..instead just quietly watching.
"Don't .... don't come any closer!" Rapunzel warned, frying pan held out as a way of defense. "I mean it!" She had only escaped the confines of her tower's walls recently and hadn't anticipated running into another person so soon.
Naturally anxiety got the best of her.
especially when bumping into a MAN of all things .... her Mother had warned her plenty about them .....

for weeks jade had been leaving out in the alley behind their band's studio meals of cooked patties, salmon, whatever meat seemed hearty enough for a stray hungry animal. they were convinced some poor dog or cat must have been clawing around the dumpsters, hearing tinkering noises and whimpers whenever jade would go out back for a smoke break. they had no idea it was really @finnedfangs lurking in the shadows.
maybe i'll meet the little guy today, jade thinks to themself as they step outside with a container of warm food at the same time as always. just when setting the container onto the ground does the sound of rustling startle them, immediately turning to look behind. at first all they see is some strange flickering little lights . . . a collar perhaps? yet this is no large starving dog. oh no, it's something else.
“ who's there?! ” they call out with a stern yet soft toned voice, cautious not to provoke whatever— or whomever— the curious figure in the dark may be. “ listen man, i don't wanna hurt you . . . just stay cool. ”

"Trust me, if you're going out onto the pier to eat you better bring a back-up meal. The seagulls are gonna try and devour whatever you've got in your hand." She had to learn that lesson the hard way a long time ago.

As they approached with a coffee and a paper bag full of pastries in hand, Hyacinthe hesitated. Sure, the man looked... strange, to say the least. They had never seen anyone like him before. However, he was really no different then them or anyone else they knew in the queer community. A lot of people felt like outcasts, like they did not belong anywhere else. Sure, this café was no queer and did not pretend to be inclusive, but it did not stop Hyacinthe from being themselves. "Hey," they hummed to the man who had been sitting in front of the café for almost two hours. Once their eyes met, the queen gave him the coffee and the pastries. "Here, have these. Careful, the coffee is hot. Don't you want to come inside?"
