Panoramic video from lake Glitre in Norway
Purity by Mathijs Delva Via Flickr: Hello everybody, i'm back from my hiking trip to Norway! I haven't had much time to do anything really, so i'll be working on my RAW's for the next few weeks, no rush. I have to say, Norway is a very beautiful, pure and fresh country. Somehow i do feel i didn't get to shoot the 'real' Norway; meaning the deep fjords, high mountains and big waterfalls. This has several reasons: 1. I was alone, i didn't want to overdo myself for the first time. 2. I was on a tight budget, and since Norway is impossibly expensive (figure this: a beer costs about 8 euros, a sandwich and a coke cost about 15 euros, not kidding) i limited myself to one forested area not too far from Oslo, the capital. 3. This time of the year, there's still too much snow in the high mountains. So somehow i'm a bit disappointed, but on the other hand, i'll be going back for sure to other regions of Norway. Also, i walked through a national protected park completely alone. For almost 5 days, i didn't encounter even one living soul which was actually a bit scary and depressing. If I tell you i was shouting overly enthusiastic in the open when i saw a dirt road with some bicycle tracks on it.. I think you get the feeling. So, i'll be going back, some day, but with at least one friend. So much to talk about, but i'll just start showing pictures. I have a lot of 'boring' simple nature shots too since it was mainly a forested area (going back to the beginning of my story).. This is a LE shot (70 seconds, 9 stop ND) of a small lake near a place called Vesle Nykjua. All the water you see here (and everywhere in Norway) is drinkable so i was always happy to refill my drinking bag :-) I'll be trying to catch up with all your streams for the time being! • • • Prints available at my website 500px Behance Twitter
