Closed starter for @finnh Location: Yellow Submarine
Anna came to the Aquarium more often these days than she’d ever expected to. It had seemed pointless at first to look at a load of fish trapped in a tank when she could swim out into the ocean herself, see them first hand without a glass wall between them. But there was something different about the tunnel, about seeing the ocean swirling around her while she stood still on land. No fins. No tail. No gills. Human in appearance, and still feeling as if the ocean was wrapped around her like a cool blue blanket. So she didn’t see anyone else at first, because being with people had never been the point of coming here. But when she recognized Finn’s profile, Anna forewent her solitary walk under the waves and approached. She did not like to admit that she cared or worried about anyone, but the truth was, ever since his grandmother had died--a woman Anna had greatly respected--she had been worried about the young fae, particularly because he never seemed to use his powers.
She stopped by his side and looked again at the tank. “Thinking of a change in career?” she asked teasingly. “Jump ship from the banshees and come join in on my side of things?” As if any of them could change what they were or how their powers worked. “Darling it’s better, down where it’s wetter, take it from me,” she sang quietly.
