Thank you lovely! I thought I was used to people telling me that I’m blowing things out of proportion and that medication does more harm than good, but it had been a while since I spent that long listening to a doctor saying it. 

I think it mostly just hit so hard because I’d hyped up the appointment in my head to be a chance to try a new, more successful medication (like methotrexate, remicade, etc.). Instead I’m sticking with plaquenil and supposed to wean off prednisone. And I’m supposed to cut down on pain relief as well. Not quite the solution to my increasing pain and fatigue I was looking for. The only positive was that he gave me a rx for something to reduce stomach acidity to help with my vomiting. 

He was so focused on my hypermobility that I think it’s time to get that investigated now though, so apparently in Australia that means I need to head off to a geneticist, who regardless of what is going on with me, will hopefully be able to point me towards ways to manage the impact of hypermobility on my pain and mobility.
