valentine’s festival,
If there was one thing that Emre had learned over the past couple years of first getting Finn to realize that Emre liked him in the first place and then dating, it was that sometimes you had to be spontaneous and/or make executive decisions if you ever wanted to get anything done. Including actually going on dates. And, since this was their first Valentine's Day as a couple, Emre wasn't about to leave it up to luck, especially not with a certain someone hovering around, ready to swoop in at his slightest misstep.
He also knew that sometimes the little things were nice, since Finn seemed to get overwhelmed by pretty much everything when it came to the romance or romance-related departments. Dealing with Remi? Overwhelmed. Figuring out how to flirt? Overwhelmed. Function like a regular human being whenever Emre didn't have a shirt on? Double overwhelmed. It was sweet and endearing in a very Finn-ish way, and it at least gave Emre a fairly simple place to start.
“Hey,” he greeted Finn as he came back into their apartment, balancing a drink tray and a bag of donuts in one hand, keys in the other. “I went for a Timmies run,” Emre explained, kicking the door shut behind him before putting the drink tray down on the nearest table. Leaning in, he gave Finn a quick hug before holding up one of the steaming cups and one of the bags, “I got your usual.”
