Finally in Te Anau, looking out at the lake. The helicopter, poised, is only a hint of the kind of adventures that happen here. Main street is crowded with shops selling adventure tours and experiences. Mine starts tomorrow with Kepler Track. Forecast is “dismal” with 1/2” rain starting early morning and continuing through day two. Light snowfall expected on day three at 800m. I’ll be relying heavily on the Track Rangers to let us know whether we can go on or have to turnaround. I’m still crossing my fingers it will magically clear up.
