No tasks at work yet again. I’ve asked my coworkers to please consider letting me help out with anything so that can I have something to do

🔥 In lieu of tasks, I’ve been reading Show Me The Bodies. I actually bought and started it last year but never got around to finishing it. Anyway props to it for actually mentioning autistic people within the context of Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans. I literally did two whole dissertations on that topic and that is the first time i’ve seen someone else talk about it, even just a single sentence

🧹More of a goal to chip away at for the whole week, but I do want to clean and organise my bedroom. I have a high tolerance for clutter but I think the state of the room has crossed that threshold 🙃

Yesterday in Belfast there were two sporting events and a concert all going on at the same time which made the commute traffic an ✨absolute nightmare✨

🏘️Began work on my first proper client project! Unfortunately there’s only so much I can work on it until IT grants me that AutoCAD license, but I was at least able to start the report

✏️Spent the rest of the day making notes on the latest version of Technical Guidance Document B

Made it through my first week at the new job! Plus, we finish an hour earlier on Fridays which is nice

📔✏️The main thing I accomplished today was making some good progress on my notebook

🧶 Last night I also made a decent bit of progress on a knitting project I’m doing: just a simple bandana. Honestly I do it more so for the relaxing process of making it more than the actual end result if that makes sense?

I have nothing to do at the laboratory job today (I remain endlessly perplexed about why the contractual notice notice is three whole months) so I figure I’d make a little list of the documents I’ll be using at the new job, and start reading through them.

This is just the documents listed on the job description, I imagine there’ll be more than just this to browse through, especially since I’m fairly certain the company also does projects in the Republic of Ireland, and they have their own regulations and guidance
