Posting this now since I won't be posting again for a couple of weeks. Tomorrow morning, I'll be headed to the airport to get ready to fly to China. I actually won't be leaving for China until Tuesday afternoon. The time difference is going to mess me up for the first day or two I'd imagine, but that's ok. I am thrilled that the trip is finally here!
Since my last post, I've kept up with language study doing at least a unit each day of French, Spanish, and Chinese on Duolingo and going over my HSK prep materials again with my dad. I also had another week of open ballet classes, which was a lot of fun since it's laidback compared to the academic year. I've also worked a bit on my summer Khan Academy goals to prep for next year. Lastly, I met with my senior thesis advisor, and my mom and I tailored my World Literature syllabus for next year and a half semester economics syllabus using KA materials. I have so many incredible works of literature to choose from for World Lit and at least two novels will be read in their original language: 100 Years of Solitude (Spanish) and Candide (French). I think we decided I would read parts of Les Misérables in French as well.
Anyway, I can give you all a breakdown of that course when it gets closer to time for the school year to start up again and everything is finalized.
Oh, one last piece to note, SAT scores are released tomorrow. I'm so nervous! I'm confident enough to know that I did very well, and if my PSAT was any indication (1480), I should have hopefully scored somewhere in the mid 1500s by comparison. I don't know the timing of when my scores will be released, and I'll be on a plane for several hours. Fingers crossed that I'm in the first batch, so I can be anxiety free getting on the plane and all smiles while flying in the sky. I do enjoy the clouds. They're so pretty.
Talk to you all when I return!
