@fire-nender said: Please do tell about captive prince and what it’s aboutanonymous said: wait what, I’ve seriously never heard about captive prince
*rubs my hands together* OKAY LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THIS TRILOGY THAT SAVED ME AND KILLED ME
^japanese book cover mhm yeah
The summary is this: “Damen is a warrior hero to his people, and the rightful heir to the throne of Akielos, but when his half brother seizes power, Damen is captured, stripped of his identity, and sent to serve Laurent, prince of enemy nation Vere as a pleasure slave. …”
But while this outlines the basic premise it doesn’t go to mention the huge amount of plot, world building, adventure and political intrigue the book possesses, in fact for a long time the sex that occurs isn’t even between the two main characters. As one reviewer put it “there are lots of scenes of accidental touching and aphrodisiacs and gold chains and feeding each other and roleplay and yet no one has had any sex yet”
The story is told in Damen’s limited point of view, where he (and thus we) are thrust into a new world and culture in the midst of a power struggle. It’s full of twists and mysteries and action, violence set in a pseudo!Ancient Greek period of time.
The world building is really well done too, integrated and woven into the text as events happen, you learn more as you go on, and mentions of things Damen doesn’t know about are made clear as he realises them too. Also a very appreciated feature is that the way the world is set up ensures that all of the taboo sexuality stuff that would have come in to play with if it was set in our world is gone just lets us enjoy the story without considering all that. It’s not a forbidden tale which is refreshing.
It has has so many hilarious scenes, as well as being chock full enthralling and heart wrenching moments. The progressed relationship of the two main characters Damen and Laurent is so smoothly done and strong, and the side characters that are brilliant.
And of course the sex is great too :3c The author is a fanfic writing anime fan so she knows what’s up.
Okay this got a bit long but please give it a try it’s honestly so good especially if you like diojona (in fact if you shoot me an ask off anon I can help you out with getting them free since I got them already >:3c)
Hav you made anymore edited magi characters as poc's like they should be like you did with morgiana? I loved the morgiana edit you made :)
Thank you! that’s the only one I have made actually ^^’
If Dio only got The World after taking Jonathan's body, does that mean that had Jonathan lived this long and kept his own body, the world would be his Stand?
Most likely not; his stand would be the Hermit Purple-like Stand Dio is seen using on a few occasions. He’s the only person who’s had two different stands at exactly the same time.
In the same way as Hermit Purple, it produces psychic photographs after striking a camera - though Dio does not need to break it like Joseph, so either it’s more efficient than Joseph’s or Dio just knows how to use it better. He uses it to track the Joestars and also in the usage of showing what’s in another’s heart through a crystal ball. We see that when he brings Polnareff to his side.
Given that Stands reflect the soul of the user, it seems more fitting that Dio’s Stand is the World too, in my opinion. His desires, his dreams tend to be centred around achieving, attaining transcending and moving beyond the constraints that bind him. And then he comes along with an ability that allows him to stop time and be the only one to move in it. Seems fitting.
Also, given that Joseph’s stand is so similar, it’d be more likely that Jonathan would have had HP, since the Joestar blood connection is so prevalent
Consider this: a diojona gemsona fusion
Diojona is a gemsona fusion
