UPDATE - Mon Chat Noir

Hey, so if you guys didn’t know, I’m doing a collab fic with my sister @redstoneofthefairies named “Mon Chat Noir” (thank Redstone for that, she’s extremely good at French.) Here’s the link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/62543898-mon-chat-noir/parts

I actually asked my sister if she can do a French version, so far, all that’s been done is the description. But she’ll do it when she wishes to.

It’s basically a Miraculous Ladybug X Phan universe where Dan is Chat Noir and Phil is an OC villain named Shiroi Lion (translates (from Japanese) literally to “White Lion”) and they are both in love.

I’ll be doing this as well as Fleeting Time and Knife over the next while. All three are great enjoyment for me! If you could read what I’ve done so far for Mon Chat Noir (my sister is yet to write a chapter, but she needs the basic story first) that’d be heavily appreciated!

Right now, I’m using a base to create a design for Shiroi Lion, so this is exciting!

Hey guys! Gonna create a collection of all my Phan one shots on Wattpad so you guys can read them anytime!! I’ll be using the Phanfiction Catalogue to see if I can find all my fics so I can copy and paste them into a Wattpad collection!

I just had to research a Japanese wedding for my “Knife” Phan fic, specifically, a Shinto Wedding (traditional Japanese wedding). Yes, I am actually taking time to do research about the Japanese culture and get this fic as close to accurate as I can. I’ll also be looking at other bits and bobs in the future, such as traditions, cultural acts/beliefs/festivals, myths, legends etc.

Also, let’s recount what I have used so far.

Dragon, as in the Asian dragon, if you don’t know what that is, here

Martial Arts (karate, kung fu, ninjitsu, samurai) - so, katanas are being used, if you don’t know what katanas are, here

Traditional Japanese Temples, here’s an example of one

Shinto Wedding, here is a video of a Japanese Shinto Wedding Ceremony

Actual Japanese names e.g. Hiro, Sachiko, Asami, Tsukiko, Tadashi

I actually had to find out what “Dan” means in Japanese to make sense of Dan’s character and where he lies in the fic, apparently, a dan is a rank used to show one’s knowledge of a certain subject matter. See here for more info - Dan’s character is very much an expert in martial arts, so, fitting for him tbh

Used Japanese names for areas e.g. the kingdom of Akihara, Michino Mura (which should translate to Unknown Village)

Used the sakura tree and cherry blossoms (probably not correctly, but this is fictional, so anything can happen I guess?)

For like, 5 chapters in, I sure as hell have covered quite a lot of the Japanese culture. I do plan to use a few more things in the future, so keep an eye out for that. And obviously, if any Japanese person comes across this fic, reads it, and finds something wrong, then please tell me and I’ll try and correct it.

Finally have the Knife cover art done. Gonna set up the fic, release the cover art, and start writing!
