as appealingly angsty as Sad Albus Who Doesn't Date Anyone Else After Gellert might be, I think it would be just as funny to have Sad Albus Who Dates A Lot of Men, Actually, and gets more and more disappointed/disillusioned each time, until he finally hits gold with the hot time-traveler with the lightning scar

you know that whole "do you think we are best friends in every universe?" shtick? personally not my thing but inverse! harry is so "do you not trust me in every universe/timeline?" to albus... if that makes sense?

that makes PERFECT sense tbh! It's arguably Harry's number one issue with Albus.

Whether Albus means to or not, he establishes a very distinct bond with Harry early on by giving him lots of information and encouragement, far more than he does with any other student or character.

People get hung up on "CAPSLOCK!Harry" or whatever, but it's so obviously part of why Harry blows up in OOTP and keeps worrying at the tooth that is "Dumbledore is avoiding me and not sharing critical information". Why would he care if he wasn't accustomed to that? Even after Dumbledore is gone, losing a chance to learn from him and be trusted absolutely by him is what Harry is mourning most.

all that buildup to say, yes, Inverse!Harry is definitely the type to feel like he just can't get past Albus' walls. He doesn't expect to meet Albus at all, but goes into their "reunion" constantly assuming that there's no way he can earn Albus' trust even if he tries to be as unthreatening and unsuspicious as possible.

Little does he know that he has a much better chance of becoming one of Albus' intimates now that he has the fun cheat codes, also known as "time traveler + talked to you in the afterlife and learned all your dirtiest secrets, while visibly Loving You Anyway".

There are always fics of Harry going back but ngl would love if a teen Albus shows up in HBP lmao

(and for Albus to come back during HBP SPECIFICALLY when Harry has already gone through having Albus fall (somewhat) off his pedestal??? when they are for the first time starting to talk to each other as though they are Equals, because Dumbledore is dying and he has to make sure Harry is ready for what will come??? delicious. delicious.)

There's also so much funny stuff like:

re: last post about birthdays, I genuinely feel like there's almost nothing Harry could get Albus for his birthday that he wouldn't be pleased about receiving.

Even if it was another book, he'd be in the clouds thinking "Harry got this for me!!! 😍" which would overwhelm any thoughts of "oh. another book 😐"

Albus' desperation to not be worshipped due to how much he hates himself will never not destroy me. Similarly, Harry's desperation to devote himself to Albus regardless of Albus' mistakes and his desire to remain distant will also never not destroy me.

Harry doesn't care much about clothes (unless they're too baggy or shapeless), so I can just imagine his as-long-as-it-fits fashion sense driving Albus "My Clothes Will Make a Statement" Dumbledore absolutely mad.
