Tbf, some are more misunderstood than others—here's lookin' at you, Horobi—but I do love me them sad folks. Usually parental figures/big brothers/family oriented sorts.

I do have a little bit of a case of 'everyone but me is wrong about them.' And I talk too much. But I just have so many thoughts!

#Firebird Randomness #I genuinely love this show but it is also PAINFULLY protagonist obsessed #and like I LOVE Kenji he's a good dumbass and they DO lampshade occasionally #but like damn #Fudou might as well have built this city #I'm amazed he can walk straight from how much time he spends carrying literally everything #It's frustrating bc everything else is So Good #the chemistry of the three heroes is Great (and so real the actors are still friends to this day)#the show could also be known as:#How Fudou Jushirou Adopted Three Adult Children Before Turning Thirty #but like geez #and it's not even just power ups #sigh #however #good show #I'm gonna go back to it now to calm down #Things You Didn't Know Fire was Into

Wild fact of the day…

… Asanuma Shintaro, who was the voice of Zena in Ultraman Geed, played/plays (?) the evil pinstripe professor dad on Kamen Rider Gavv.

He was also the voice of Juran in Zenkaiger.

#Firebird Randomness #apparently Tokusatsu has diagnosed him w/ dad voice #he's now voiced two characters I love bless him #he's good tho so no surprise #Zena was a really cool character #the combination of Iawata and Asanuma was amazing #makes sense #a suit actor is used to silent physical acting #and someone w/ lots of va experience is used to acting w/ only their voice #I wonder if they were together on set or had planning sessions #or if they filmed first and then voiced over #I know they've both done smaller cameos in things before #(I think Iwata is usually a stunt and suit actor and looking up indicated Asanuma is usually a va)#but I think they came together really well in Geed #literally their shared character is one of my all time faves and helped make the series one too #Tokusatsu
