Ryder Nemesishealer

Ryder Nemesishealer is one of the grumpiest, stand-offish warriors in FireClan. He hides behind this tough exterior to conceal the truly caring person he can be...though he still is the type to laugh if you tripped and fell. Being on of the most experienced fighters in the clan, Ryder often trains classes in between tasks Blaze assigns him.

Ryder is the son of Nemesis and Helikard; the Dragonese god of healing. Like Credell, Ryder was born with healing powers, though they are activated in a very different way. His blood contains the healing properties, thus requiring him to cut himself to heal others. He does have exceedingly fast regeneration powers, which is why he rarely requires intensive medical attention. Ryder is one of the few people with two tears in his wings.

He doesn’t like personal questions and doesn’t tend to talk much...but his new apprentice; Gaylia, has slowly been drawing him out of his shell. Ryder hasn’t really had a family since Matt Fayette’s death, but he’s learning how to take care of the kids he seems to draw near him thanks to his apprentice’s friendly nature.

Ryder doesn’t really have a lot of healthy habits. He smokes a lot of weed to calm his nerves and keep the nightmares that he totally doesn’t have at bay, tends to sleep very little and has been known to consume alcohol that would normally kill a demidragon and even a human. He’s working on being better with himself, especially since he now has an apprentice of his own to look after and be a good influence to. Ryder hopes the new family that seems to be building up around him doesn’t fall apart like the last one did if someone dies. He doesn’t know if he could survive it again.

Neoma Tolibo

Warrior of FireClan | Pacifist

At first glance, Neoma looks like a hybrid demidragon who likes to fight. After talking to her, you’d discover her kindhearted nature and aversion to fighting. Neoma Tolibo was born in the midst of the war to a father who would beat her in an attempt to get her to abide by his vision of her and a mother who didn’t care much for what happened to her daughter. She learned early on that no one cared about her feelings or her own ideas and her only purpose was to carry on the Tolibo line.

Fortunately, she escaped her imprisonment and found Hiccup Firehades incapacitated from his own growing pains similar to how she was. The two spent half a day together before Blaze and her patrol found them. At first, Blaze was unwilling to accept Neoma as a refugee. It took a lot of coaxing from her mate to even allow her to be brought back for medical treatment. They found her snow white wings a bit odd, especially given that they knew her mother was pure demidragon, but as time went on, the entire clan would discover all of the abuse Neoma was put through. Her wings had been torn to shreds in an attempt to confine her to the caves NebulaClan lived in, and they had worked until Neoma was beaten within an inch of her life and the Being; Glux took pity on her and gave her new wings. Unfortunately, she still didn’t know how to fly, so she still had to run.

It was Hiccup who persisted in bringing her food when he was allowed outside of the Healers den and talked to her even though she didn’t talk to him. He taught her how to speak fluent English and convinced his father to teach her how to fly. Abble Sol Desmi soon joined in, teaching her that FireClan would never hurt her, no matter who her parents were, and later taught her a warrior didn’t have to fight in order to settle a conflict. Ever since then, she’s renounced fighting except in the direst of consequences and lives in Los Angeles to avoid the cold she hates so much.

Neoma was diagnosed with rather severe PTSD and a mild anxiety disorder which is treated with specially made medication Allura makes for her every 6 months. She is now in a relationship with Hiccup, continues to be best friends with Abble and loves her job as a reporter for FireClan’s very own newspaper; The Hearth. She knows quite a great deal of alchemy and a few spells that Hiccup has taught her over the years. Neoma is kindhearted and generous, but has learned how to say no and will defend her friends if she must using her wit and quick tongue. She looks forward to the day when the threat of NebulaClan attacking again will subside and she will no longer have to fear her parent's retaliation for her betrayal.

Apple Willowhut

Largely reserved with a special eye for hitting targets in the bullseye almost every time, Apple isn’t afraid to whip her abnormally long tail around before interrogating a person if they’ve just snuck up on her. She, like her mother, doesn’t particularly like to fight, but will if it means protecting people.

Apple trained under Peter Croxton to become one of the best archers the clan has ever seen. Whether she’s firing from a bow or using one of her own tail spikes, Apple’s accuracy rivals that of a sniper with a very good scope. She prefers to fire a single tail spike at a time--a special trick Peter shared with only her.

Apple was very close with both of her brothers before Shrew passed, but grew a bit distant from Bracken in the aftermath. She still cares deeply about her little brother, but finds his rage a bit unsettling at times, and thinks he needs to talk to someone before his anger eats him up like Blaze’s did to her. She visits her mother frequently, as she still lives in the Midwest and prefers the wide-open space to that of the bustling cities and extensive evergreen forests her brother is now so fond of.

Apple has an odd condition that allows her stripes to glow in the dark, provided it’s a cave and not actually an open-night sky. Her wings make her skilled in swimming, but she prefers dry land. Apple is fond of speaking of her Native American heritage, and will often tell kits and apprentices about the relationship between demidragons and the Natives from long ago. She often visits Willow on their old reservation and delights in playing with the foster kids and rez kids alike.

Willow

Warrior of FireClan

Being a single mom isn’t easy for anyone, never mind the mother of three demidragon kits. Willow had her work cut out for her before she joined FireClan in an attempt to secure some safety for her growing kits. At the time, she believed “FireClan” was merely the name of a new group of rogues that were claiming the territory. She was very surprised when she discovered they had plans for a full-blown clan, and even more surprised when they were welcomed in with open arms. She never had to worry about her kits starving again.

Willow cares for her children deeply and loves to talk to them when they visit her. She’s grieved greatly for her youngest; Shrew, who was killed by Dominic Tolibo. Since then, she’s let go of her misguided anger and learned to live a full life in the clan, even if she doesn’t always understand or agree with some of Blaze’s decisions.

Willow isn’t really interested in taking a long-time mate in the clan, despite several making advances towards this bulky demidragoness. Her children's father made several lasting impressions upon her of what a mate was like--and none of it was really good. She doesn’t mind being alone though, she likes talking with her friends and preparing traditional Dragonese food for Apple and Bracken when they come home to Montana to be with her during the holidays.

Willow doesn’t really like to fight. She’s more of a “mom-for-hire”, constantly taking in orphaned children of all kinds to raise and take care of. Her massive wings are the perfect size for large mom-hugs, and she dotes upon these adopted children as much as she does her own. All in all, Willow has what it takes to be a powerful single-mom in a world where many creatures have tried to take a literal bite out of her kids.
