what exactly is justice league: odyssey? is it like a justice league version of that one wonder woman: odyssey comic from years ago?

it was just announced it yesterday, so we don’t know much about it! and i don’t know much about wonder woman: odyssey, but here’s what they’ve said about it thus far:

“This is ‘Justice League Space,’” Snyder said of the second series, adding that he’d tried to get permission to call the book “Justice League WTF,” but was overruled. Instead, it goes by the title Justice League Odyssey, with writer Joshua Williamson (The Flash, Voodoo, Justice League vs. Suicide Squad) and artist Stjepan Sejic (Aquaman, the Suicide SquadDark Nights Metal tie in issue).

If Justice League Dark seems strange, with its plant elementals, bat-men and smart chimps, Odyssey makes Dark look like a normal Justice League book. Snyder called it a “crazy space western,” featuring a team of Jessica Cruz, the Green Lantern; Starfire, the alien princess; Azrael, the tech-enhanced vigilante; and Cyborg, a cyborg.

“The last member of the team,” Snyder said to a small chorus of low gasps, “is Darkseid.” The tyrannical ruler of Apokolips is one of Superman’s greatest foes. “He is their ‘Hannibal Lecter.’” Snyder said. “They are dealing with an epic plot that has to do with his father, the Source Wall, whole new areas that have opened up in space … They fly around in an old Brainiac head with flames painted on it.”

it has to do with Dale being a survivor of sexual abuse and how that’s hinted at in MLMT, the series and in the deleted scenes

he has a recurrent fear/hatred of doctors. once went 7 years without seeing a dentist, when BOB shows up in the original draft of the finale he does so dressed as a dentist and there’s a lot of heavy medical imagery

it’s more or less stated in the series that BOB hangs around hospitals and preys on patients, dale was a chronically ill child etc etc etc

Well, it's started as HP porn but it somehow morphed into a very long exploration of two characters trying to rebuild themselves after a war (in which they fought in the two opposite camps because of course) while also comfronting childhood traumas (mostly because the more I wrote the more I realised how many fucked up things canonically happened to them before the age of 17). Also porn.

Honestly, this story is mostly my way of fixing everything in the Harry Potter canon that pissed me off, which is like...A lot of things because J.K Rowling can't be trusted with her own characters. Oh, and no one is straight in this story, not a single fucker and that's because J.K herself pushed me to my limits with her bullshit.

Overcoming this stuff is tough as hell and a constant rollercoaster that makes you feel angry and broken and lost, but it’s not impossible to come out the other side of it! You got this!

I’m moving out away from my mom (and all of my family really) for the first time at the end of November which is a buckwild concept, but also I’m p sure I need the space or risk getting Worse honestly (not due to my mom’s influence, I do love her and we’ve never had Problems, just.
