Firecrackers for the Troops 5k! Hot af and about 1/2 mile in we hit a wall of humidity, but my goal was sub 30 min and I hit it anyway! To tell the truth, I hate racing 5ks because by the time I hit my stride it's over. I finished 25th in my age group, but ohhhh well. It's still my fastest race pace ever! The chip time actually had me even faster, at 9:12/mile, so that was exciting! I spent the afternoon getting coffee and gelato with my best friend, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than that. Happy 4th of July, y'all!
