So, questions for the veteran betta parents out there.

Do Bettas do well in tanks with the tiny firecracker shrimp? I'm dying to have some of those things, but my koi will eat them. He's soon going into a 20 gallon, which will leave my 10 gallon open.

My last betta lived 5 years, so I'm okay in that respect. I have a filter, and I can get a heater. I'm hopeless with plants in any form, so I'll probably just go with silk ones.

I guess the main questions are: do bettas and tiny shrimp get on well? How well do those ledges work? And what type of betta is your favorite??
