So what are your thoughts on the fact that there may be a KKC television series? I am personally really worried that they are going to ruin it; cast actors that are ALL wrong, etc. I don't know tons of people who read the book, so I wanted to see what your thoughts were on it!
Oh yeah I'm terrified, there are any number of things that could go wrong. It seems like the writer is working decently closely with Pat on it and that he cares about the series, so I'm sure everything will turn out okay :)
YOU MAKE BUTTONS?! THAT'S SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah! I got a button maker for my graduation present! It was the thing I wanted most in the world! I actually have a shit-ton of buttons, but I haven't put any on my backpack yet. I could make you a couple for free, although I'm planning to start selling some when I have the time to get a proper batch together!
I just have a quick question! I'm going to be a first year Science student in September, and I'm definitely in a few fandoms! I'm considering joining, but (from what I have seen) I feel like the group is very Doctor Who driven? I've never watched Doctor Who, but I'm a HUGE fan of Game of Thrones, HANNIBAL, Merlin (and video games like Zelda, Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, and Tales of). Are there a lot of different fandoms that are discussed in the group?
Hi! Welcome to Queens :)
You should definitely join! We did have a couple of Doctor Who related things last year - but that is just because it is what people were interested in doing then, and we took a lot of suggestions last year because we were just starting out. Even so, it was not the only fandom we discussed. There are a couple of other members who don’t watch Doctor Who as well, so you would not be the only one.
And, to be completely honest, if we are going to be focusing on one thing the most this year it’ll be Game of Thrones because we are planning a big cosplay group for Fan Expo next year.
That being said, at the beginning of the year (at Queen’s in the Park and our first meeting) we’re going to be setting up a list of what fandoms people are in so we can try to plan accordingly and make sure that there’s something in the club for everyone ^_^
Thanks for the question! Hope this helps and if you want to know anything else the askbox is always open :)

Tagging Game
Tagged by ultimahatamoe
Rules;
Rule 1: Post the rules
Rule 2: Answer the questions the tagger asked you, then make 11 new ones
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to your post
Rule 4: Let them know you’ve tagged them
Questions;
1. How would you describe yourself?
Extremely shy and seemingly cold. Obsessively apologetic, but amiable and a good listener. Imagine a well trained cat that apologizes. That's me.
2. How many pairs of shoes do I own?
6, I think? But 3 pairs are sneakers, so the other three are "shoes".
3. If you were prime minister/ruler of the world what laws would you make?
I actually hate this question, since I'm not that great of a leader. But I would reform the educational system so that students in college/universities are NOT IN DEBT after they graduate and children in the K-12th grades actually learn useful real-world stuff (balancing a checkbook, budgeting, how to fix minor car problems, etc.)
4. Do you prefer sunrises or sunsets?
Sunsets, all the way.
5. Whats your favourite word?
A tie between luminescence and cheesecake. Discombobulate is third.
6. Who’s your favourite hero and villain
I'd have to go with the first Disney movie I watched, so Simba and Scar.
7. One alternate reality you wish you could live in
An AU where buying and selling stuff was as easy as in Animal Crossing.
8. Do you wish you were a twin( if already a twin do you wish you weren’t)
Nope. Perfectly fine living as an only child.
9. If a loved one was to serenade you, what song would you most like them to sing?
"Pure Imagination" from WIlly Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
10. What do you feel is your greatest strength?
I'm fond of helping and teaching others stuff they don't know (it's usually math/math related), so I consider that my greatest strength.
11. Do you play “The game"
GODDAMMIT I LOST THE GAME
My questions:
1. If you could be paid in anything else other than money for a job, what would it be?
2. What do you typically eat for breakfast?
3. Do you prefer to call people by their nicknames or their actual names?
4. Least favorite movie?
5. If you could learn any language in an instant, which would it be?
6. How often do you travel/take vacations?
7. Do you own anything that you consider to be lucky?
8. Favorite type of soup?
9. If you can spend your next life as an animal, what would you choose?
10. Does your house have a fireplace, and do you use it often?
11. Describe your favorite color.

I HEARD THAT GAME WAS MOTHERLOVING INSANEEEEEE
It's SO GOOD!! The gameplay is super fun and the story and characters are fucking awesome! It's giving me all the feels. I'll lend it to you, if you think you can finish it before you move :P
Hahah yeah I dragged my parents errrrrrrvrywhere with me. Though I didn't even try to get people's attention I WAS TOO SCARED lol. My first request was single w/shared bath, so hopefully Leggett or Watts - I just really don't want to be in Vic Hall ugh (I'm going to definitely be on main for health reasons, though)
I think that was generally what everyone did, so I’m hoping that it’ll be easier to approach everyone when parents aren’t present. (Their presence can certainly make it difficult to interact with peers, although I can’t quite pinpoint why!) Those are really nice residences. Vic Hall would be the absolute worst though; it’s so huge, and the rooms aren’t nearly as attractive! I’m pretty sure that my scholarship guarantees me my first choice, but I don’t want to get my hopes up only to have them dashed! If you don’t mind me asking, what are your health reasons? (If you want to answer privately, I can totally stop clicking “Publish”, and it’ll come to your inbox instead! Or you don’t have to tell me! I’d totally understand.) I have a few issues with mental health, so I intend to make full use of the LaSalle Building, but I’m still incredibly nervous about such a dramatic shift in lifestyle and expectations! Gah!
Yeah, I was at the orientation :) I'll be going in to first year (but I'm super awkward and shy/nervous and have a hard time introducing myself to people soo THAT IS A PROBLEM haha) but I can't wait to get there and meet people and live in res! :)
That’s brilliant! I’m going into first year too (as was probably obvious from my awkwardness and the fact that I was dragging my dad around with me), and I definitely didn’t have the nerve to reach out to anyone, although I tried my best to send positive energy in the direction of cool looking people (by quirking my mouth at them and then glancing away quickly. Ssssh).
I’m going to be living in residence too! What sort of room did you request? I asked for a single room in a girls-only dorm, so hopefully I’ll end up in Ban Righ, but I haven’t been told yet!
