The Trap Sprung @firefly-soldier
"Remarkable isn't it Commander Casavir," Albert Du'Galle purred as he leaned on the railing in front of him, "We are fortunate the cold climate of this place preserved most the facility."
Cold was an understatement, no one would think Umbrella would have two facilities in the Siberian tundra.
The Commander in question, a dark haired and fair skinned man, gave a minute shrug of armored shoulders. At least up here, in the "clean" area with his boss, the man had chosen to forgo his helmet. In contrast to the white and black armor his employee wore, Albert was immaculate as ever in a three piece black suit, grey undershirt and warm tan tie completing the look. He didn't seem bothered by the cold at all.
"Perhaps sir, but we are also fortunate that somehow this place was missed in the sweep. Most of Umbrella's facilities were destroyed and purged after the company's fall." Casavir's deep voice was laced with a light Eastern European accent, perhaps Russian.
Albert smirked slowly as he drew back to stand with his hands folded behind his back. "Too true. Also to think there were still a few souls in this place trying to continue work far above their pay grade."
The scavengers in question had been quietly eliminated. Albert's small company had stealthily encroached after dropping out of their GATE. The poor fools had never seen it coming. And even if they had, they stood no chance against an advanced party like this. Their minds had been picked clean for any useful information on the place. And that is when Albert's group had learned the idiots had already accidentally, or perhaps intentionally, set loose a few wayward creations into the facility itself.
The doctor gave a tiny frown at that thought before it smoothed away. "The traps have been set then?" Behind him, in what remained of this place's control room, a few techs were already hard at work attempting to patch the security system together if only for the camera system. The two Technoar conferred quietly as their Terran comrade oversaw.
Casavir nodded, dark blue eyes meeting grey blue. "Yes sir, laid at the most likely places for movement. We'll catch them soon enough. Then we can explore the rest of the facility without accidentally killing them." A slow blink. "Non-lethal, as per your instructions. Energy trigger traps, once they detect movement in the approximate spot, the fields should appear and trap them."
As if on cue, there was a warble on the comm on Casavir's wrist. One of the traps had been sprung and a creature captured. Some light chatter as a team was already moving to retrieve and "package" up the catch before the comm went silent again.
Albert nodded. "Good, keep me up to date on the teams then. I want this to go as smoothly as possible."
Casavir responded with a clenched fist over his heart. As he did so, a mouth guard slid up over the lower half of his face before a black visor slide fully over the entirety of his visage.
"It will be done sir," the now synthesized voice rumbled.
