those who knew of Master’s would often expect that they’d let their Servants do the fighting and for them themselves to stay back. which was true in most cases, but one Master had a habit of doing the exact opposite and getting herself involved in the fight personally. she herself instructed her Servants to take care of the wires where they can, sending them off with a promise she’ll be fine and to not let anyone stop them. once they were gone, she moved quickly, finding one of the open holes. but before she can jump in, she hears a voice. a very familiar voice, taunting whatever was down there.
without hesitation, Ritsuka hops into the opening, feet hitting the ground with an echo. her gaze snaps up to find Aelin in combat with a group of strange, shade-like creatures. they moved and circled the woman like a predator enclosing its prey and she could feel some sort of magical energy in the air. her gaze flickers to one of the creatures as flames begin to engulf its hands. ah-- they were gonna fire at Aelin. well, not if she had anything to say about it.
“ I don’t think so!! “ fingers grip the steel pipe tightly in her hands, taken from a damaged building with a jagged end. it wasn’t much, but it would do something and that was all she need. heels dig into the ground for a moment, arms moving the pipe back and then she’s striking the head of the creature just as it’s about to fire off with every ounce of strength that can muster, jagged edge catching it and sending it hard into the ground.
“Aelin! Are you alright? “
