heya! i saw your post on learning chinese & wanted to throw in my two cents. im a native chinese speaker too, and honestly, its not as hard as some people make it out to be (or maybe it is and im just used to it bc i grew up speaking it) - because whilst the characters are difficult to learn, the grammar is easy to pick up on and conjunctions/pronouns/sentence structure etc are actually really easy :)) pronunciation & memorising characters are basically the only things you have to worry about
ik what you mean some ppl find russian and ukrainian impossible while i find them to be easy af, and ye ur rightim 78% sure its the characters that terrify me the most ive heard my friend cry over them an uncountable amount of times that poor thing, ooo btw i think ive read somewhere that chinese’s grammar is similar to korean is it true??? bc korean sentence structure turned out to be so easy i was pleasantly surprised :’)
