Shit’s going down and he doesn’t really want to get involved just yet (everyone else has got it, no sense getting his ass kicked, right?).

I promise I will do a serious drawing of his armour someday but I feel like this would be the average experience with New York’s firemaster (tell me he wouldn’t go buy hot dogs in the middle of a fight).

Bonus points if Podcast starts running commentary.

(Generally not too proud of how this came out but at least it’s a practice before I properly draw his armour. I could not be assed with a background I’ve just bloody done 2 hours of Physics.)

Can you burn yourself? I mean with the fire and all- or are you like immune? Have you accidentally set someone on fire before?

I’ve been sort of immune to everything I’ve handled so far but like, I don’t really want to test the theory. I’m not going to set myself on fire. I don’t want to find out the hard way that I’m NOT immune.

And yeah, I did set Lars on fire once. But it was HIS fault, okay? Not mine.

All I’m saying is that Nadeem definitely has ‘Firemaster of New York’ in his dating profile (although nobody has believed him about the pyrokinesis so far).

As part of my agenda to make Nadeem more popular, I’ve been considering maybe making an ask blog for him.

Probably wouldn’t be able to answer all that often (GCSEs rip my life) but let me know if you think that’s an absolutely terrible idea or if you reckon I should give it my best shot (bear in mind, I am an English teenager with little experience of America or the internet generally).

Idk, let me know. Been a bit indecisive about it so far.

Would love to be a fly on the wall at Nadeem’s next family gathering like how do you even respond to “So yeah, Dadi was holding out on us the whole time and I prevented the apocalypse with fire magic. What’s new with you?”

Also like imagine being his brother. You’re watching the news and you see your loser brother in ancient armour shooting fire at a giant horror movie creature. You’d think you were tripping balls. (Although tbf if my sister saved the world I think I might never speak to her again. I hope Nadeem’s brother is a better man than I am because sibling jealously would eat me alive).

I’m imagining a situation now where Nadeem’s needed for something but he’s got his brother staying with him (probably to try and reconnect or something) so the pair of them show up to the job and his brother turns out to be annoyingly competent, but also completely losing his shit like “I’M SORRY THIS IS WHAT YOU DO ON YOUR WEEKENDS???”

His family are going to be so fucking confused though lmao imagine your mum turns out to be a protector against ancient evil and you only find out after she dies.

(Disclaimer - I don’t know if Nadeem literally can’t generate fire, or if he’s just super fucking bad at it - which would make sense because he’s still a learner. Maybe he’ll learn someday.)

Are you going to learn more science to understand your powers better?

Is that… something I was meant to do? Look man, I wasn’t the best in school, so it’s easier said than done. I’ve already had to buy a couple of textbooks just to understand what the hell Dr. Ray and Lars and the Spengler kid and all the rest of them are talking about.

Maybe I’ll ask Dr. Ray about it next time I hit the Occult Shop.
