I keep forgetting to ask: how did your survey results and presentation at emocon go?

HELLO AND THANK YOU FOR CHECKING IN!!! I've been just a little busy......

Since I presented my paper I went to Japan, did two weekends of markets with Julia, made a zine, introduced Tim Kasher to Magic Grill, hosted a ton of friends in Jersey City, saw Tim again with Thursday on a boat, learned a LOT about bars and this what feels like the first time I've been able to have Fun on my laptop since early April???

The presentation was incredible! My thesis ended up changing a LOT. The final slides were inspired by the other talks at the conference as much as from talking to the other academics. I learned a LOT and it really lit my fire. It'd been a VERY long time since I presented in person and I felt a spark come back (hi, i'm available for speaking gigs!)

Then all that busy stuff happened and instead of relaxing in between, I was rewriting my abstract to submit for publication consideration!!! i love to give myself homework!! but it's evolved like a pokemon into it's latest form and now i'm entering my Summer of Reading.

Hello! Do you have any good shitpost ideas related to weddings or love? My best friend is getting married in fall and I'm trying to plan ahead for presents. On a related note, I'd like to suggest a "Merry Shitscram" stitch for the holidays. I've been failing to come up with a good pattern for that for years.

No specific ideas. Fry was going to do a couple “No longer living in sin” stitches for her cousin’s weddings coming up. 

As for your suggestion, you should definitely resend it so we can add it to our ever-increasing queue.

Mom, the day after your post on Hell House ants, I saw some ants in my office. Which was somewhat concerning. This is a new house to me and who knows what issues it has, but it was only a couple and I just decide to get things to take care of them later. I promptly forgot. Then yesterday I came home to a pile of dead ants in the hallway of the basement. Which is 10 ft away from the nearest exterior wall. A PILE. But they're dead? In short: I'M CONCERNED ABOUT A COUPLE THINGS HERE. Ants. Dead???

Tumblr mom, are you planning to go to the Science Museum's exhibit on Mythic Creatures? I got very excited about the masquerade until I realized work scheduling meant I'd end up missing half the damn thing and now it's too late. I WANT TO KNOW YOUR TAKE ON THEIR DISPLAYS. MAYBE THERE WILL BE WEREWOLVES?

I have a deep desire to go but sadly I'm having to budget for all my upcoming oral surgery and also, y'know, recover from all the oral surgery.If it's still running when I am feeling better (April?) I will try and go. Who knows, maybe I can ask for it for my birthday from the inlaws :)

Hi Tumblr mom! I'm one of the recent new followers and just noticed a post mentioning you lived in MN. HELLO FROM ALSO MINNESOTA. (I'm in the Twin Cities metro area.) I also moved here for my boyfriend after meeting him online from not an online dating site and this month is our 4 year anniversary. Do you have any interesting anniversary suggestions for things to do in this state? Or anniversary suggestions in general? Or at least where you get your absinthe?

Husband and I like to go to the Science Museum for our anniversary, it was one of our first dates and we enjoy going back to see the new displays and whatever is on in the omnitheater. I’m not a huge baseball fan but the Saints stadium is nice, although I know it’s not really baseball season at the moment. (lots of cool places to eat down there though)
