Difference between Pack and Bag
In Battlefield 4 we saw the Balanced version of Battlefield 2 Thrown Ammo/Medic Bag. For those who didn't know how Medic and Ammo Bag works, basically you don't have to throw it to refill or heal your teammate and yourself, you just pull the Bag out and hold it. While the radius of Refilling or Healing is small it makes the squad stick together, but by pressing the fire button, the soldier will throw down the Bag and instantly refill/heal anyone who picks it up. This is annoying for those BF2 veterans that still remember the days. So Battlefield 4 are making a return for those thrown BF2 Ammo/Medic Bag called Ammo Pack and First Aid Pack. The difference is small but the effect to the gameplay is enormous. They now Heal or Refill Ammo to full health/capacity over time. While the over time duration is small it still gives the enemy a chance to kill before they fully heal.
My guess is that the Healing is canceled once the soldier receives damage. Making the Pack only useful outside combat, so keep your heads down and make sure you're not getting hit if this is true.
