I love MSNBC, I do. I'm a news junkie. I have to be to know the dangers against my multi-minority family that is everything the conservatives hate. I love Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, Lawrence O'Donnell, Jen Saki, etc. (My fav, Symone, isn't on tonight,) but FFS, they really need to stop talking about, "Biden bombed the debate! He bombed! The voters aren't going to like that!" And there was talk about "Will Biden be replaced by Harris or someone else? Surely there's talk about that."

It feels like they're making the doom happen. (I'm getting Hillary and her emails flashbacks.) Talk about the good points Biden made. The zingers he did that I saw and quoted on here. How Biden talked about the good things he's done and the mess Trmp left for him to clean up. Talk about how the republican controlled House of Representatives and Supreme Court are preventing a lot of good things the dems want from being done.

Talk about the lies Trmp spouted every single time he opened his mouth instead. Talk about Biden refuting them.

TBH, I'm only half listening to their commentary and right now, same channel, I'm sort-of watching a reporter talking to a small group of "self declared non democrat" people who were set up to watch the debate together and give their opinions. Which I normally don't do because it gets frustrating. ...and now that segment has ended.

I'll stop posting about the debate now unless VP Harris comes on and says things I feel I need to share.

End of rant. Just had to vent so my head wouldn't explode.

The debate is now over. Watching MSNBC now. Apparently Biden has a cold. Not covid, just a cold. Plus his stutter which he's talked about. It's why his voice was often soft and why he paused sometimes. Aside from having to reply about all the lies.

Joy Reid is saying how "campaign folks" are worried about how Biden did and so did some of her regular viewer friends.

Me? I thought Biden did a good job. Especially compared to Trmp.

Also, how tf is there any choice between the two? I won't rant about that though and I'm not debating it.

Trmp was asked a question about how he'd decrease the cost of child care. Instead of answering, he's rambling about how good his poll numbers are because people told him they were. And saying he's made the best economy. I lost track of what other shit he was saying because I was typing this and watching Biden laugh at him.

Now Biden is telling viewers and Trmp what horrors T did for the economy.

There's now more of Trmp not answering the question posed to him, about the opioid crisis, but he will not let go about what Biden said about how the economy was destroyed when Trmp was in power.

Biden, "You ever hear a President say, 'I think Hitler had some good ideas?'"

Just a highlight of Biden ripping Trmp a new one and telling the American people who T is and what he's said.

If Biden's eyes freeze into a side-eye, I wouldn't be surprised. Also, if he was all jacked up on drugs or performance enhancers, he'd be charging at trmp and literally kicking his ass.

That aside, Biden is pausing a little and has had a couple of verbal stumbles. Anyone would trying to keep up with all the lies and complete bullshit coming out of Trmp's mouth, as well as needing to respond to questions being asked and T's comments.

Saying the above for all the "Biden's too old, he's stumbles" haters. He's only 4 years older than T. My little sibling is 5 years younger than me and 7 years younger than our oldest sibling. Doesn't make their grown ass a baby. We're all adults, not little kids anymore.

Yes, now Biden is talking about the insurrection and how Trmp wants to commute the sentences of those prosecuted. And how he's going to do another one. T's had sworn he has.

And now Trmp's counteracting with "Biden's allowed protests in Portland (and other cities.) It's all the democrat's fault." (paraphrased.)

"The only person on this stage is a convicted felon is him!" You go, Biden!

Biden called Trmp a sucker and loser after ripping him a new one for disrespecting veterans and soldiers such as his (Biden's) son who died of cancer from burn pits.

Trmp is denying it of course and demanded that Biden apologize to him for...I think lying about his treatment of military families and veterans.

And now, Biden, "The idea...the idea that I have to apologized to you about anything is..." I forget exactly what Biden said after that, but he was PISSED. As he should be!

(I'm trying my best here to give out some highlights for those who have no desire, or can't, watch this debate. I don't blame you all at all for not watching.)
