Lucy went to the salon for a spa day today
While I'm waiting for my Mr Super Clear to come in, I decided to make my first MH clothes! It's a turtleneck sweater-dress. It was supposed to be a prototype for the real dress, but then I fell in love with this one. I really like the grey on her. I used the tutorial by YouTube's lovely Dollightful, to deconstruct the dress my Clawdeen came in and create a pattern. It was long and tedious but I will forever more be deconstructing and creating patterns from ALL clothes my to-be-modded dolls come it. Once I got the pattern made the dress itself was ridiculously easy to sew! I have a couple more things to do with it, like adding a snap in the back for the "belt" and adding a frey-guard to a couple areas, but otherwise it's totally complete!

Someone here imagined themselves to be an ooaker, but after completing the process, they remembered why they didn't deal with plastic dolls😑
It just happened on an unexpected day that I really needed a big Rin Kagamine, and that I wanted to make it myself. Because these dolls turned up in time at the nearest flea market. But at the same time, I wanted her to be in a more casual way
The result: severe fatigue, a head covered with glue and joy that something turned out. Only a nasty spot on the cheek spoils the whole picture
Learned the hard way that Krylon does not work on MH dolls like it does on BJD dolls. It's weirdly textured, shiny, and watercolor pencils refuse to stick to it unless they are wet, which I don't like the look of. Oh well, I like the look of what I did so far but I broke down and ordered MSC, so I'll have to wipe her clean again and start over. Lessons learned.
