arven x reader who is trying to heal from a toxic relationship HCs

Arven, at first, is at a bit of a loss of what to do. He doesn't have much experience in this sort of thing. But you're dear to him, and have helped him when he needed it most. So of course he tries to do the same for you.

He'll fix some of your favorite food and sit beside you if you want to talk about it. He'll be mostly quiet, but you can see his expression darken when you explain how this person hurt you. He'll let you lean on him, and will give your hand a reassuring squeeze. Whatever you need, a hug, to cry, he's there.

If you do decide to talk about it, don't be surprised when he gets angry on your behalf. How someone could hurt you like that is beyond him, and it makes his blood boil. If he wasn't so focused on taking care of you, he isn't sure what he'd do. The person who hurt you had better hope they never meet him.

He tells you he'll set Mabosstiff on them in a joking tone, but in truth he's actually heavily considered it.

Speaking of Mabosstiff, Arven will often have the big puppy around, too. His fur is surprisingly soft, and if it helps keep your mind off things or help you feel better, Arven's all for it. It warms his heart to see two of his greatest treasures getting along, and Mabosstiff is more than happy to receive your attention.

It's a little hard to be sad when trying to avoid being crushed by the very enthusiastic dog pokemon while he settles on your lap.

If you'd rather not talk about it, Arven understands. He's a little unsure of what exactly to do, and will be grateful if you tell him what you need from him, so he can focus on that.

Of course, he makes you plenty of sandwiches. It's his main way of showing his care, and it doubles when he's worried, so expect him to ask if you've eaten and insist you have something even more than usual.

Sometimes, he'll pull you out from your dorm randomly, saying something like "I need to search for ingredients outside, and I need you skills, little buddy!" when in reality, it's an excuse. He worries that you'll isolate yourself, so he tries to do things with you to get your mind off things if he thinks you're too cooped up.

He may be a little clumsy, but Arven cares for you very much and will do whatever he can to help you heal.
