Backtracked and got another one in the books. I decided husband was right, I can’t quit now that I’ve come so far. Keep moving forward.

A little late start this week due to traveling but I dusted off moms old treadmill and got to it tonight.
Jogged 24 out of the 25 minutes so feeling pretty good about that.

I did it. And I feel like a badass. I jogged the whole 22 minutes. 😊
And two sweaty selfies cause I couldn’t choose which one lol

Another one down. Had a couple hurdles (gym closed early, door I normally go into for hospital was locked) but I got in and did it.

Completed the workout. Forgot my water 👎🏻 but I survived. Still don’t love running lol but gotta finish what I start. I feel like I may have gotten into my head a little bit googling treadmill speeds for C25K before I went tonight. I am waaaay slower but I’m working on the time not the distance. I also feel like maybe I should’ve started with a cycling program first lol

Sneaky, sneaky program. I see you, changing up the plan in the middle of the week. I was so confused when I was running more than 5 minutes (promise I wasn’t watching the exact clock lol). I took a peek and realized it switched up to 8 minutes! I completed the day (barely lol). Another tough one in the books.

Decided to go ahead and redo week four to build up. So today was easier, still a challenge, but slightly easier. Make it all the way through all the spurts without having to decrease speed.
I switched from podcast to music which helped me. It’s easier to just enjoy the music and not have to focus on what’s being said. The hard part was not singing along out loud to the good songs lol.
Today’s mission was working on breathing. Tried out the method suggested by my husband, @tenacioustam, and @alwaysonemoretime (thanks again y’all!). It helped to focus on breathing vs counting down with my timer at how much longer I had to run. I still haven’t gotten my pattern down, I ended up doing like three different ones this time. It was positive though so that will continue.
Last but not least my average speed for a mile went down almost two minutes from week 3 day 3. This is just a cherry on top. I’m currently working on stamina and not worrying about speed..that will come much later.
And a proud sweaty selfie for y’all.
I need real life tips on breathing while running.
I feel like it might make things easier in the long run. I’m a hold your breath, realize it’s held, breathe heavily kinda gal. I need to change that. Sooo how do you breathe while running?
