Recent Mommy Milestones

Now that the child is over 13 months I . . .

1) Check the baby monitor less obsessively. More for fun that for concern. And, OK, finally admit I can hear her in her room without it. Just not when I have the water running. So I need it. But less than I used to. A little...

2) No longer think the air conditioner is going to give her consumption.

3) Finally realize all the babycenter message boards are really the same ten questions over and over again, some asked by normal people, some by ignorant people, some by neurotic people, some by lazy people.

Time to figure out how to stop that digest from hitting my inbox every night at bedtime and . . .

4) Sleep a hell of a lot more.
