❝ Blah blah … blah blah blah . ❞
Golden eyes rolled at her sister’s performance before Faith gave her a gentle shove. Brianna was always wandering off, traipsing through the woods or off on one of her wee adventures despite being constantly told she should stay put. But, her curiosity so often got the better of her. She would always appear home, of course, after a while with mud all over her gown and twigs in her hair but until she did, their mother would worry about her. And it was Faith that had to sit at home with her while she did. Claire tried to hide it, of course, but Faith could always tell.
Today was the day she decided that this had gone on long enough and so had waited outside for her sister to return. When she had, Faith had on no uncertain terms told her that she had to stop wandering off, which of course fell on deaf ears.
“Do ye no think mama’s enough to worry over without you disappearing every day without even telling her where ye’re going? If da was here, he’d thrash ye for what ye put her through.”
