The First Date Tag
Barbara from ThePersianBabe created this cheeky tag on youtube. I’ve been super wanting to do it, but since it takes me forever to properly film anything I decided I might as well do it here.
THE QUESTIONS 1. How long does it take you to get ready for a date? If I’m showering, it could literally take 2 hours because I’ll want to actually style my hair, which takes nearly an hour to do because it’s so thick that it has to air dry some first. But if I’ve done my hair the night before and just need to do makeup, probably 30-40 mins. I like to take my time enjoying the ritual of getting ready and I often get distracted watching youtube videos.
2. Whats your idea of a perfect first date? Dinner Drinks Cinema Adventurous dates - Nobody should go to the movies on a first date, because you can’t speak or even look at each other. Dinner is too long and involved, and “adventurous” can be saved for a second date.
3. What would you gravitate more towards to wear on a date ... Jeans Trousers Skirt Dress - I almost always like to look a bit girlie on a first date, and I like my legs so I tend to show them off.
4. On the date of your choice what makeup would you wear Girl next door Smokey and sexy Bold lip Brights - This one’s tricky, because I wouldn’t want to wear a ton of intricate makeup that looks like I’m hiding my face, nor would I want to worry about a dark lip getting all over everything, but I would want to keep it true to my every day look, which is like winged liner and a bold lip.
5. Your date says you have half an hour to be ready what do you do? lol cancel.
6. Your date asks for the bill, do you ... Offer to pay - with actual meaning to pay (lol) Make a fake fuss - with no intention of paying (even more lols) Expect him to pay straight away - I do usually expect that the person who’s done the asking will do the paying, and I also expect that dude will at least make a gesture towards paying. Do you go out with him again? I was going to answer that I would never not go on a second date JUST because the guy didn’t offer to pay, but I’ve literally done that. To me it’s less about like sexism or chivalry and more about courtesy and consideration- anyone who assumes they will be treated sounds entitled to me.
