This is the lift I am most proud of yesterday because I never thought I'd get it. A) A month ago I wasn't sure I'd pull at all at the meet. 2weeks ago, I decided I'd at least pull through the pain and pick up 135 to get it on the map. Last week, I decided to open with 155 and finish with that if need be. Then I stepped up the the platform for 155 and completely forgot my wrist wrap! 😳When I was able to do it anyway, I figured... just go for it. B) I hadn't pulled more than twice total in the last 6 weeks of training because of the (mysterious) constant pain and numbness in my arm (that doctors are STILL trying to figure out btw). C) I hadn't pulled over 185 in the gym since joining @lakevillepowerlifting and had only pulled it once ever prior with terrible form. D) I was icing my arm still from bench when my DLs needed to start. My arm was full of pins and needles and a burning sensation. Pulled 190lb and it was a shock to me how light it was. I did need Lidocaine patch, anti-inflammatory and ice for the rest of the day but the way I felt about hitting that after such a rough meet prep made it worth it! So glad I still competed despite all the hell that this meet prep was. .... .... #rpspowerlifting #femalepowerlifter #firstpowerliftingmeet #rawclassic #deadliftpr
