Fischer's Lovebird Agapornis fischeri

Greg de Klerk recently returned from a visit to Northern Tanzania, where he encountered this amazingly colourful Lovebird that was busy hollowing out a new nest cavity in a tree. A near-endemic to Northern Tanzania, this species can be seen regularly in wooded savanna, in pairs or flocks, where their loud calls betray their presence.
