Canyon Lodge is situated just 20 kilometres from the main view point of the Fish River Canyon and next to the main road. The lodge consists of 26 bungalows built out of natural rock, thatch roofs and full en-suite facilities. The restored farm house, built in 1908 by German settlers, serves as the lodge restaurant. The nearby Quiver trees and impressive rock formations cater for the hiking enthusiasts. The Lodge is sited in mountainous surroundings to take best advantage of the beautiful view offered by the Gondwana Canyon Park.

Die Canyon Lodge liegt nur 20 Kilometer vom Hauptaussichtspunkt des Fish River Canyon entfernt, jedoch abseits der Hauptstraße. Die Lodge besteht aus 26 Bungalows aus Naturstein, mit Strohdächern und komplettem Bad. Das restaurierte Bauernhaus, das 1908 von deutschen Siedlern erbaut wurde, dient als Lodge-Restaurant. Die nahe gelegenen Köcherbäume und beeindruckenden Felsformationen begeistern Wanderfreunde. Die Lodge befindet sich in bergiger Umgebung, um die schöne Aussicht des Gondwana Canyon Park optimal zu nutzen.

Die Canyon Lodge liegt im Schutz eines Granitfelsens auf den weiten Ebenen des Gondwana Canyon Parks. Das Bauernhaus mit der Rezeption und Restaurant wurde im Jahr 1913 von deutschen Siedlern errichtet. Zahlreiche alte Gerätschaften, liebevoll und dekorativ angeordnet, erinnern an die Pionierzeit der Landwirtschaft.

The Canyon Lodge lies in the shelter of a granite hilltop on the sweeping plains of the Gondwana Canyon Park. The farmhouse with the reception and restaurant was completed back in 1913 by German settlers. Numerous implements, lovingly arranged as decoration, are reminiscent of the pioneering days of farming.

The Fish River Canyon (Afrikaans Visrivier Afgronde, German: Fischfluss Canyon), is located in the south of Namibia. It is the largest canyon in Africa and, behind the Grand Canyon, the second largest in the world. It features a gigantic ravine, in total about 100 miles (160 km) long, up to 27 km wide and in places almost 550 meters deep.

Der Fischfluss-Canyon (english Fish River Canyon, afrikaans Visrivier Afgronde) liegt im südlichen Namibia. Er ist mit etwa 160 Kilometer Länge, bis zu 27 Kilometer Breite und bis zu 550 Meter Tiefe der größte Canyon Afrikas und gilt nach dem Grand Canyon als zweitgrößter Canyon der Erde.
