Mers hatch with a full set of teeth and zero self preservation skills! Infant mortality is high, only a third making it to adulthood.
These 8 were the lucky few to hatch from around 20 fertilized eggs (few hatch naturally due to available space in the brooding pouch)
These are also lucky to have three adults to watch them, gives them a higher chance of reaching adulthood.
Mers normally have a clutch every 10 years or so, normally producing between 5-10 offspring.
