Apologies for this taking so long. TheMysteryofGravityFalls has been really busy since shipping wrapped on the zine (it was his job to do all the math), but we've finally made our donation!
Hunky Drifters Catalogue donated an amazing $10,370.65 to Transition Projects!
I think we were all a little surprised at this total! Thank you all so, so much for helping us make this zine such a success! We appreciate everyone who purchased a copy, reblogged a post, or told a friend. We couldn't have done this without your support! One of my (Doubtingsalmon) favorite parts of zine projects is being able to make these donations. TMoGF told me last night that he actually received a phone call from Transition Projects, and that they, "Basically they were shocked by it, happy for the donation, and they’ll send an acknowledgement letter, too." So thank you all, again, for helping us raise this incredible sum! I'm confident Transition Projects will put it to good use! With that, Hunky Drifters Catalogue is a wrap!! Thank you again to all of my amazing mods for all of your hard work and to all of my talented contributors for your amaaaazing pieces. It was a rough and grueling road at times, but I'm very, very proud of this zine! As a final note, this will be my last zine project indefinitely. At the very least, I need a looong break before I take on another one. Maybe when the 20 year anniversary rolls around, I’ll cook up another idea. If you're interested in keeping tabs, I'd suggest following @gfhunklescalendar (where I will post first; I like to retire zine blogs) or @doubtingsalmon. I also want to say that I wholly welcome other Hunky Drifters Catalogues to be made; I just really wanted to be the first. After all, we do have a year discrepancy that can be absolutely taken advantage of.

Noticed that the holes for Feb/March were getting close to failure, so I’ve rigged an emotional support string that will hopefully get me to the end of the year. Old calendar is folded behind, string loops between the front and back cover and is tied just close enough to the bottom of the hole that it should be bearing most of the weight. Through in some Kraft paper over the string to help protect the covers from possible wear. 🤞

Can i still buy the zine book?
No, the zine is not currently for sale. A digital copy of Wayfaring Strangers will likely be available during the sale of @hunkydrifterscatalogue in order to boost our charitable donation.
Pink Fishie Set
This mod turns all the fishing poles into a cute pink version. It also changes the fishing float to pink but that can be harder to see cause it’s in the water

Pre-orders will be available exclusively through The Mystery Shack, and the pre-order period will run from Sept. 27 to Oct. 11. Currently, we're estimating shipping to begin in late November.
Hunky Drifters Catalogue is meant for ages 18+! It will be 9x12 inches and features pieces from 60 artists that fill 82 full-color pages. The book is softcover, and aims to evoke the feel of an actual magazine (think more Restoration Hardware, rather than Highlights.) Each and every zine purchased will receive the extra items listed above.
Hunky Drifters Catalogue is a charity project, and 100% of all proceeds will be donated to Transition Projects, a charity in Portland, Oregon whose "programs provide a safe, temporary home and support services for participants during their transition out of homelessness." They received an excellent review from Charity Navigator, and we’re very excited to contribute to their cause!
Digital copies of the zine will be available during the pre-order period, but will not be distributed until physical zines have begun to ship, even if your order doesn't include a physical copy of the zine. In addition to Hunky Drifters Catalogue, digital copies of Wayfaring Strangers and all past Hunkles Calendars will be available for purchase. These, too, will not be distributed until the physical zines go out. (Ya girl needs time to finesse the files, and I haven't yet had time.) Please note: If you're tempted to add other Mystery Shack items to your order of a physical zine, it will not be shipped until the physical zine is available. To make this easier for everyone, please order the physical zine separately from any other Shack items. Artists: Remember that you’ll be able to post your completed pieces once zines have begun to ship out. Thank you again for your patience. We are creating a tastefully mature, retro catalogue based on our favorite Hunky Drifter in the 1970’s. This means that to be a contributor, you are required to be 18+.
