I know it’s been a while and I’ll probably give a general update later, but this post isn’t about me. it’s about my very very sweet and lovely friend, @fish-without-shame. 

you all probably know that I don’t share things like this often, but Julianne is such an amazing friend and person that I really want to help her out. she has been busting her butt and working so hard for a long time now to become a teacher, and she’s so close!! but she’s coming up on one of those rough transition periods right in the final stretch.

I know times are tough and things are pretty tight for a lot of people, but if you have a spare couple of dollars, anything at all, that you’re able to give, it would be so incredibly appreciated! and if you can’t donate, maybe you could give this a reblog just to help pass the word along~ I would appreciate it and I know Julianne would too!!

Always gonna love me some Hellsing Ultimate. One of the few anime I have on disc.

it’s a kickass series. I was honestly a little hesitant to watch it at first. I watched the original series a good while before I watched Ultimate, and while I liked it, it left me a little meh. so I didn’t think I’d be all that into the reboot. I’m glad I was wrong lol Ultimate was great and absolutely deserves a watch

Can I have some more Mikoto\Kagome headcanons (because I'm predictable) of how they got together? Like who confessed first and why they decided to go for each other. Thanks friend! :3

They originally met through Kusanagi.

Sometime before, Kagome had been having a very rough day and went into the HOMRA bar on a whim as she passed by. She liked the atmosphere/aesthetic and ended up becoming something of a regular.

Kusanagi introduced them one day when they were in the bar at the same time.

Mikoto was one of the last HOMRA members that Kagome actually made friends with (Tatara being one of the first after Kusanagi).

Seeing how well Kagome got along with all his clansmen is what made Mikoto more curious about her.

Their first “date” was when Tatara “forgot” to do the grocery shopping to cook dinner at the bar, so Mikoto asked Kagome if she wanted to tag along with him to get something to eat.

They started eating together semi-regularly and generally spending more time together at the bar, but nobody was quite sure exactly what their relationship was. Honestly, they just found that they enjoyed each other’s company.

Neither one quite officially confessed. It was more of an acknowledgement of a change in their relationship from friends to dating.

Kagome: “So…are we dating? I’m pretty sure everyone thinks we’re dating.”

Mikoto: “Do you want to be?”

Kagome: “I think I’d like that.”

The shift to a romantic relationship came pretty naturally for the two of them. They acted as a good balance for each other. Even though both had their own tempers, they knew how to calm each other down before anyone got hurt.

Kagome likes Mikoto’s lazy brand of affection.

Mikoto likes waking up to Kagome’s smile.

Even though everyone in HOMRA teased and made jokes about them dating before they were officially a couple, most were a little weirded out when it actually happened. Yata once compared it to seeing your parents kiss.

Tatara absolutely took credit for setting them up.

yesss. I mean, who wouldn’t want to just hang out with Sanguine? he’s so chill compared to the rest of them and his realm is so pretty?? sure, you kinda feel bad about stealing that one dude’s goat, but it’s a good time. 

things get a little too crazy for Kagome and she’s just like “nope, I need a vacation, I’m hanging out with the party prince for a while”

Headcanons of an established Mikoto/Kagome relationship please? Anything at all! :3 I'm glad you're feeling good today!

They don’t go out much for dates but will occasionally surprise each other with fun things to stay in and do, just the two of them.

Though sometimes Anna joins in too.

Kagome likes to cook for the two of them but has to watch Mikoto because if he’s in the kitchen with her, he’ll snack on her ingredients.

Kagome knows all the HOMRA guys, but it’s an unspoken rule that they don’t talk about the more violent aspects of their activities when she’s around. Kagome knows about it, Mikoto just doesn’t want her thinking of the specifics when she looks at him.

Kagome has seen Mikoto lose his temper exactly once after some rowdy guys on the street knocked her down.

Mikoto is always calmed down by Kagome’s presence, especially when she hums little songs or runs her fingers through his hair.

If one of them isn’t there when the other goes to bed, they have a hard time getting to sleep.

Mikoto ran out of shampoo once and had to use Kagome’s. Everyone dared everyone else to ask him why he smelled like pears and honey. Nobody did.

All of HOMRA lowkey agrees that the cutest thing to ever happen was Kagome getting sick and Mikoto trying to take care of her (with a little help from Kusanagi). 

They have a weekly movie night. They trade off who picks the movie but each usually complain about the other’s taste (even if they end up liking the movie anyway).

Even if he seems distant around other people, Mikoto is very protective of Kagome. His biggest fear is that someone will try to hurt her to get to him.

I actually never realized it, but your Hellsing xover was the first thing of yours that I ever read. It's just your oneshots that brought me to Tumblr.

I can’t say I’m all that surprised lol ‘Like The Dawn’ surprised the hell out of me by being far and away my most popular fic, especially for only having the first 6 chapters out. the original idea for it wasn’t even mine. the basic idea was brought up while I was chatting with Bishonen’sFoxyMiko and I got permission to flesh it out and run with it. I actually have several other stories that were based on ideas she tossed my way to write (eg: Child of God, Fish and Freedom, and Tears From the Moon)
