it is the boy fish!  if you put too many baby fish in a tank and come back three months later when they've all made relatively concrete decisions about their gametes situation (they still switch sometimes after that...) it's always a soup of males.  useless!  very hard to make more baby fish using a tank of just males.

meanwhile if you only put two or three fish they will turn out as the fattest and happiest lady fish every time.
