The upside to a snoring Jinx was her being lightweight. Slumped over an armrest would be hell on her back, if her posture wasn't bad enough. He's able to hoist the girl up, find her a level surface and prop her head with a pillow before leaving be.
Fishbones was watching every single movement the man had to offer to the sleeping girl, keeping a careful eye on just what he might do to her. While the cop (?) always had a seemingly off soft spot for Jinx, that wasn’t reason to trust him all the while. He still worked under Sheriff Caitlyn, from what he could remember, and that bit of information immediately kept him on guard.
He couldn’t do anything to stop Salem if he wanted, but being able to scream his handler’s name and have only her hear was always an upside to the little blue bombshell. He promised to keep her safe, and to always be there, and damn it… he can’t break that promise; no matter how frustrating she could be sometimes.
There, the man began to fumble with the girl, what seems to be like propping Jinx up in a better sleeping position… a kind gesture. Fishbones could silently exhale once more, just why was he always so hot and cold with her? Was it pity? It had to be… it was his chance to capture her again, but this time he decided to leave her be and walk out.
“ Mister Salem, you confuse us… “ The launcher would whisper, knowing full-well the cop couldn’t hear, “ … but thank you. And I am… very sorry. “
Fishbones fidgeted against the wall where he rested, his jaw unhinging slightly.
