Ughhhhhh Cape Town looks incredible! It’s my favorite type of landscape - where mountains run straight into the sea. It’s like Cape Town is nestled inside the space that doesn’t exist where water and oil collide.

And inside each droplet is an astonishing world places waiting to be explored. A giant nook in a massive cranny, teaming vibrantly with life. I can smell the briny air and feel the toasted wind whirling around me. No wonder you love it so.

And it goes beyond what it looks like. Words fail me, but yours are pretty fucking good. It's my home and I love it with my whole self.

Top six places you've been!

6. London, England- It’s been far too long since I’ve been to London, but the impression the city left on me has held firm. 

5. Moscow, Russia- I went to Russia at the worst possible time of the year: smack in the middle of winter. But in some ways, that was the best way to experience Moscow. That city grabbed me and shook me awake. It was at times harsh and intimidating in it’s beauty and grandeur, but the artistic community that hosted me was nothing but hospitable, nurturing, and enlightening. It was wonderful and awful and COLD AS FUCK.

4. Rhinebeck, NY- I was only in Rhinebeck for 72 hours, but I fell in love with that town.  The main town is really only a few streets wide, but it’s packed with an extraordinarily high amount of genuinely amazing restaurants, art galleries, bookshops, clothing boutiques, etc… Then, when you drive outside of the town limits, there are some of the most incredible estates: true marvels of American architecture.  I’m dying to go back.

3. San Francisco, CA- I just loving everything this city is: food, culture, art, everything. I love how distinctive neighborhood is, without feeling segregated or closed off.  It’s physically beautiful: airy and free. I think, if I had to move anywhere else in America, that’s where I’d go.

2. Edinburgh, Scotland- I left a piece of my heart in Edinburgh. It’s wild, rough, untamed, and extraordinarily accepting. I feel like the ten days I spent in Edinburgh sent me along the path to becoming the person I am now.  Something about the rough, but open heart of that city captured me and my imagination. Can I go back now? Please?

1. Cape Town, South Africa- There are not adequate words in human speech that accurately describe this city. It’s just…impossible and perfect.  Photos can’t capture it, especially because Cape Town light is like no other light. It looks the way South Africa feels and now I am so very homesick. I just…look:

Does everything count as one thing? You are a swot of Shakespeare. Your cooking looks incredible. I've never seen you be anything but kind and honest. You have the brain power of a superhero. You are living in one of the toughest, most wonderful places on Earth, and you are there, alive, doing what you love. You're a constant inspiration, and I'm hugging my computer screen as hard as I possibly can right now.

The Tyrell's are fucking awesome, aren't they? The show gets plenty of things wrong (THE LAST SCENE OF THIS SEASON), but they have made the Tyrells (particularly Margaery) 80 times more interesting.
