Goodnight, Danny Trejo is a piece of cinematic genius.
I almost fell out of my seat, I was laughing so hard. And I was in an audience with a lot of younger children and their parents (and also my parents) so my laugh was definitely audible to the entire theatre.

I just snorted.
I don't know why I'm surprised. When my nudist proclivities got back to my mom, she said, "Well, I know where you get it from" and blithely went about her business. My parents are overgrown party kids and it's simultaneously adorable and extremely embarrassing.

I’ve always been pro Jo/Bhaer. All my friend always argued in Laurie’s favor growing up and I was always just like “What’s wrong with all of you??”
He is obviously the superior man. Laurie does grow up a bit, but that doesn't change the fact that he and Jo would be horribly mismatched. Bhaer is sensitive, kind, and patient, but he's got this quiet passion and intensity that comes from real maturity. He's a much better fit. Although, really, I ship Jo with herself more than anything. Louisa May Alcott was pushed into giving her a love interest by her publisher. But if Jo has to end up with someone, I'm going with the passionate, responsible man over the perpetual man-child.
And again: GABRIEL. BYRNE.
jgaskisanerd nah i know; that was just a bit of anger-fueled cynicism. in the past couple days we have all seen some really shitty behavior from people who wholly believe they are doing nothing wrong… and i've been trying not to let it get me down, but sometimes things get to you anyway, namean? it is depressing times like these when we need the muppets most of all. muppets, and Kid President. thx for that, pasta-jack.

I just relistened to Sweeney Todd for the first time in years a couple weeks back and I was blown away by how amazing it was. I had completely forgotten.
It's decidedly his best show: melodically and lyrically. And the way he uses those beautiful melodies and undercuts them with dark, atonal underscoring is just so fucking smart. I just wish the movie was better.
Company is probably my second favorite Sondheim show, if only for "Being Alive." I'm also a big fan of Sunday in the Park with George and Into the Woods.
jgaskisanerd replied to your post “I’m still really upset about the end of Kings what do I do”
You'll never get over being upset. It's been four years and I'm still upset.
I am not okay with any of this
