Only Practice Makes Perfect, a college au
"I kept for years - it must be in my Ardis nursery - the anthology you once gave me; and the little poem you wanted me to learn by heart is still word-perfect in a safe place in my jumbled mind, with the packers trampling on my things, and upsetting crates, and voices calling: time to go, time to go.”
When Nicky had begun college, in his mind a mission had quickly formed: he was going to put aside his shy nature and begin dating; find a boyfriend, have cute dinners together, wake up in his arms, all the good stuff he had always yearned for.
Instead, he had ended up doing none of it and spent most of his time studying in the library, curating his GPA to the point of madness, and completely forgetting about the importance of socializing.
With only two trimesters left before graduation, Nicky’s friend Andy is done with having to listen to his laments and offers a solution: in the soccer teams she trains there’s Joe, a talented athlete who is having trouble keeping his grades afloat but who has lots of experience with relationships. Nicky would help tutoring him and in exchange Joe would give him dating lessons. No feelings, no attachment, just two boys showing each other the ropes.

Like a Dog Pissing on a Fire Hydrant, a fix-it season 1 au
Mickey Milkovich is a hyper protective little fucker, a dog that growls at anyone who gets too close to his bone and pisses on all the fire hydrants of the neighborhood because he likes the color. He’s protective of his little sister, of his big brother, of that photo of mom, and now of that freckled Gallagher fuck who works at the Kash and Grab and has a thing for old man’s dick. The problem is that Mickey really, really likes Ian, and really, really dislikes Kash, and he has decided that he needs to find a way to make Ian realize that dating guys who own shithole shops and touch little boys isn’t the best idea, especially when he could have the neighborhood thug. He’s at an absolute loss until Ian mentions that he has never bottomed for anyone because he has never been able to find someone he was attracted to or he trusted enough for it. Well... for the first time in his life, Mickey is ready to put work and effort into a goal he desperately wants to achieve.

Born as an omega, Nicky was supposed to make his parents proud: get his first heat at fourteen, be noticed by a rich alpha, prove his fertility by giving birth to a brood of children.
