My beloved mutual @clove-pinks has let me know today is the anniversary of the Battle of Lake Erie! In commemoration, here is a video I took in Erie back in July, from the deck of replica War of 1812 schooner Pride of Baltimore II. This is Erie’s current local lady, fishing schooner Lettie G. Howard, and like everyone else in Erie, she’s flying her Oliver Hazard Perry battle flag, along with a few other fun ones.
I’ll be sailing this beauty up the Chesapeake Bay next month, lads!
