OC HAVER!!!!! tell me about both webber and flori: 2, 9, 15 and 27!
for context, both of them are ttrpg characters of mine (kids on bikes characters to be exact). webber is from a sci-fi themed one that's currently ongoing, and flori is from a l&co campaign a couple of friends and i are cooking up that will probably start very soon. quite soon. surely soon it will happen. (we have been waiting for our schedules to line up for ages.)
2: is your character easily impressed? if not, what's something that does impress them?
webber is the easiest person in the world to impress. it met zoran (the first officer) on the first day of the cool new spaceship job and imprinted on him like a lost duckling. it just kind of operates on the default assumption that everyone around it is cooler than it.
flori isn't quite so naive, but if i had to pick something that impresses her i'd say it's people who take no bullshit and stand up for themselves. that's a quality that she feels like she lacks. oh, also Talent. she kinda wishes she had more of it, even if she would never admit that to anyone.
9: in no particular order, what would you say are your character's top five priorities?
webber: 1. finding purpose. 2. loving others and being loved. 3. doing the right thing. 4. applying itself. 5. having fun.
flori: 1. finding meaning. 2. persevering. 3. protecting herself. 4. burning bright. 5. staying silly.
15: has your character ever gotten into a physical fight before? not just roughhousing or play fighting, but an actual violent conflict? how did they come out of it?
i don't think webber's ever fought someone head-on (i could be wrong, my memory's not great), but it's not fantastic at fighting. all of the extra arms get in the way. it's usually the Guy In The Chair, it's very idealistic and conflict-avoidant, but it has crawled on the ceiling and taken someone out from above spider-man style before. i look forward to putting it in situations where it has no choice but to face the physicality of a fight.
flori most definitely. she's nightwatch, so her job is kind of to get into fights,,, with ghosts,,,, but she doesn't shy away from fighting other people either, especially when she feels cornered or provoked. she holds her own, but sometimes she doesn't know when to quit. she has nottttt been taught how to manage her emotions.
27: describe your character with a word for each letter of their name.
b - beloved (even among other players, webber is apparently a favourite, as i've been told.)
r - rambunctious (isn't that such a good word. i love the english language.)
f - flourish (that's her last name! not really. but let's do her the favour and believe her.)
r - ruffly (a homohone to "roughly", which describes her just as aptly.)
