14) Favorite book you read this year?

As ashamed as I am to admit it, I’ve only read fics this year :(( But I’m planning to read at least a book a month next year - Cole is helping me put together a list so I’ll let you know how that goes. :)

15) What’s a bad habit you picked up this year?

Occasionally thinking I have it all figured out and sometimes even trying to give advice.... I really need to stay in my lane :’))

20) What’s something you learned this year?

Lots. That doing stuff on your own can be fun, too. That hockey really isn’t for me anymore. That drinking a lot of water can surprisingly effectively prevent a hangover. That Tokyo Drift is a much better movie than I remembered. And last but not least - that Strike Commander Jack Francis Morrison is gay 8~)

Can I request #50 (Arranged marriage) and #95 (Sleep intimacy) for Clune/Neal?

Neal sleeps naked, his skin tangled up with the sheets, getting them dirtier each day closer to Friday, and Dicky doesn’t know why he would sleep naked. The sheets aren’t especially nice, a basic 30-dollar cotton queen set, and the room is at a steady 70 degrees and Dicky sleeps with his lounge pants on because he doesn’t want to be naked in case of fire. Neal doesn’t care about being naked in front of 20 firemen, or in front of his husband who got matchmade with him because the yenta cried out of despair.Dicky glances at Neal in the dim blueness of night, his eyes only catching the very edges of his arm and shoulder and greasy lanks of hair, and maybe thinks about stripping down naked and cuddling with him. Maybe if Neal shampooed his hair. Maybe if Dicky got enough balls to scrub his scalp with the Nexxus shampoo he got at the salon and made him like it. Until then, his arm touches Neal’s out-flung arm, like a boat touching an island, and stares up at the ceiling until Neal’s easy breaths lure him into sleep.

i just…eddie’s completely smitten with lu, like that one gif is just so painfully soft and sweet??? and lu probs left the town because he had to go settle something back home, but it was before him and eddie even did anything because lu didn’t want to do that to eddie, get him all attached and then he’d leave, so he just left

and eddie was upset about it but then understood, and it’s been about a month and then he’s heading a town hall or something, just listening to what someone has to say, and then he leaves for a recess or what have you, and he goes outside and lu’s leaning against his car out front of the church and he looks up at eddie and eddie just

gives him that look and lu looks at him with one of his awkward self-conscious smiles like “i hope it’s not too late?” and eddie just, wants to kiss him, real hard, so he goes over and he does, and just

everyone in that damn town is clapping because eddie is Not Subtle about how much he likes this stranger, and they’re all happy there’s some form of resolution to it

and eddie can’t stop smiling and blushing whenever anyone asks him about lu, like he can’t help it, and i just…they’re so soft and in love

6. What’s the detail you wait on bated breath for readers to notice?

Ohhh that depends? On the fic. But usually I love it when people get a reference I don’t put in the notes. I also write in a cycle? Usually by the end I’ll reference something in the beginning and tie up loose ends and I love when people notice that. 

11. What’s a fanfic idea you haven’t done yet?

I haven’t done very many AUs? Like, okay I write more ‘in-canon’ stuff generally but I really haven’t done any AUs for hockey except in  etch-a-sketch

12. What’s the hardest thing to write for you?

Oh. Smut! I’m ace so, it doesn’t do a lot for me and most of the time if I try to write it i’m just like ‘how do bodies even??’

2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?

Another one I've seen recently was the latest Knives Out movie, Wake Up Dead Man. I really, really liked it! I love the KO series a lot in general (I love mysteries and whodunits) but I especially enjoyed this one, I think partially because I grew up Catholic. It was shot beautifully, very funny, and I always love the dynamic Benoit has with his Watsons. Josh O'Connor really killed it.

13. What's something you learned recently?

Ahh I'm blanking with this one!

i guess this is less of learning something and more of just doing something new but the whole voting thing for kpop artists and music award shows. Although I've been a fan for years I never really partook in that area of fandom, like mass voting, nor did I know about people getting billboards or radio ads to promote voting for things? Honestly I still don't know much about that, but I saw it was an option on one of the apps and was surprised.

but when EXO had their cb last month I just suddenly found myself downloading like 7 different apps and trying to keep up with the schedule (not entirely impossible when you're in the est time zone with a shitty sleep schedule but still hard lol) and trying to get them to win things. Very debatable of the extent it helped but it was kinda fun to be part of something like that.

13. lanyard or key ring? Key ring for sure! I like attaching things discreetly to retractable carabiners that can be hooked to belt loops. (Can double as something useful in an emergency maybe? :P)

40. weirdest thing to ever happen at your school? One year, we had to take our end of year exams in our classrooms instead of the hall because a week before they were due to start, a student had snuck in during the night with their partner and gang of friends and vandalized it with spray paint. Kudos to them for the very different EOY experience. (I still hope the consequences of that shenanigan didn't hit them too hard 😂)

54. what did you learn from your first job? Techniques to ladle soup without drips!

64. favorite website from your childhood? A very close fight between Inuyasha World, TamaTown and one website that had all the sherlock holmes stories. I can't find it anymore, but it was like this one!

72. worst subject? Math for sure!

92. lamps, overhead lights, sunlight or fairy lights? Lamps with warm light > fairy lights > sunlight. (overhead lights are a necessary evil and nothing more)

96. desktop background? I've been using this one for my laptop for so many years (8!) that I don't actually remember where it's from.
