I’m uncomfortable bc like i understand artists wanting to practice diff faces but the idea of a guide weirds me out esp after what u said lmao

like the op is taiwanese and a lot of ppl do have difficulty drawing asian faces so i think the rest of it is well done

but i had a problem with how they discussed like the history of certain beauty standards in china/japan & like pointed out cultural facial types etc but for south korea they just kind of stopped at “plastic surgery and kpop”

I get told this by non korean ppl like. To my face. Like yeah korea has huge problems with misogyny but why are you lecturing me...

yeah what gets me about it is that there’s ALWAYS this subtle layer of xenophobia/racism underneath it? like... do y’all think america is any less misogynist? why are you removing yourself from the conversation about misogyny by focusing it specifically on koreans? it reeks of the white savior syndrome - like they think america is so much more socially progressive and morally superior to those poor koreans who are so backwards and misogynist

also there’s literally 0 reason for any nonkorean to fucking bring this shit up in general to a korean person unless they’re talking about a specific instance of misogyny involving themselves. like you want to make some sort of a general convo abt korean misogyny in particular? why are you preaching to actual koreans who probably have EXPERIENCED THIS SHIT IRL??? they don’t need you to tell them about their own goddamn lives
